Joggerathon – Petite Stitchery – Yoggers
Hello hello! It’s day 5 of the slim fit joggers based on pattern descriptions and up next are the Yoggers from Petite Stichery & Co. If you’ve looked at the listing photos of the Yoggers, you might say to yourself, “These don’t look very slim”. I thought the same thing BUT the description on the website lists them as slim, which is why I have included them this week.
The Yoggers are a fairly simple pattern with multiple leg lengths, a knit waistband with an optional drawstrings and optional pockets.

Price: Free
Size Range: 10 sizes // xs-4x // 34.5″-61.25″ hip
Options Sewn:
- I’m at the top of the XS size so I sewed a straight XS. The inseam is 30″ for all sizes so I shortened the length by 2″. I also added pockets (only 1 pocket option) and skipped the drawstring.
My Measurements:
- Waist – 27
- High Hip – 31
- Hip – 36
- Upper Thigh – 21
- Inseam – 28
- Height – 5’4
Fabric
I used Lush Double Brushed Interlock from The Fabric Snob in the Carnation color way. This fabric is nice! It’s on the thicker side but the stretch is great. The recovery is good but it is not ideal to use on a waistband without elastic. It’s a 95/5 cotton spandex interlock knit, approximately 240gsm and 68-70″ wide. It has 75-100% horizontal and 25-50% vertical stretch (depending on the color).
Recommended Fabric: Knit fabric with 40-50% stretch. Fabric with good stretch and recovery is needed for cuffs and waistband.
Instructions
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yup! No issues with the instructions
Pattern
DID IT LOOK LIKE THE PATTERN PHOTO/DRAWING ON THE PATTERN ONCE YOU WERE DONE SEWING?
My finished pair does look similar to the line drawing and listing photos.
WHAT DID YOU PARTICULARLY LIKE OR DISLIKE ABOUT THE PATTERN?
- I sewed these up a long time ago when they were first released (they have since been updated) and the old pocket opening was sooooo wide. The pockets now are 10x better than what they were before, so I’m super glad that was fixed!
- The main thing I don’t like is that the pattern description called these a “slim fit”. I would consider these definitely more lounge/relaxed and a straight fit. These are in no way slim by any means.
- I also sewed the smallest size, so there’s no way I would be able to size them down for more of a slim fit.
WOULD YOU SEW IT AGAIN? WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS?
I wouldn’t sew these again but at least they are free! If you like a looser fit, I say go for it.
Have you sewn up the Petite Stitchery Yoggers? What are your thoughts? Be sure to let me know in the comments below!
