Greenstyle Creations – Embrace Sports Bra
I am super excited about this new release! This bra has morphed into a monster! Not really…but there are so many options for all shapes and sizes. It started off as a layered back (u-back with a racerback on top), but now has the layered back option AND the racerback on it’s own and the u-back on its own. It also has a solid front and a colorblock front option. In addition to all those options, there’s a no bust dart front, a bust dart front and a built in FBA front to fit your needs. How awesome is that?! It’s also currently on sale until Saturday. Introducing the new Embrace Sports Bra!
This is a fairly quick sew too, which is always a win in my book. I always love a good racerback, so this was perfect for me. I used 1″ fold over elastic (FOE) for my neck binding, which is so much easier than binding, especially on fabric that might not press very well. The next one I make, I plan on using FOE to bind around the racerback too. I think that could give a fun pop of color and I have SO much FOE!
I made this beautiful pair of Cavallos back when thy released and I had JUST enough fabric left over for a matching bra. I LOVE IT. This ABP (athletic brushed poly) fabric from The Styled Magnolia is to die for. Everything is always so vibrant and beautiful! It is so worth the money. I also tend to keep it on my shelf a little longer than I should but I am SO glad I finally cut into it. I have a few other prints that I’m sure are going to turn into another set of Cavallos and a matching Embrace. They are a match made in heaven in my book!
The only changes I made was in the underbust elastic measurement. And my changes I mean I left it out entirely. But I had this same issue for the power sports bra. The elastic is just wayyyy too tight for me. But the band measurements are perfect on their own, so it’s really not that big of a deal. I definitely have a few more of these bras in my future!
Happy sewing!
