Petite Stitchery & Co – Unity Bra
I’m so excited for the Unity Bra that was just released by Petite Stitchery & Co! Finally, I can add a sports bra to my me made collection! You can find it here. Be sure to snag it quick while it’s still on sale! There’s a peekaboo option, overlay, full front, strappy back, racerback, multiple cup sizes. You can have as much or as little support depending on the type of fabric you use. I still need to make a handful more of these, but there’s too much to sew! The only thing I don’t love about this is the super high neckline, mainly because most of my workout shirts are low cut! I guess I can always workout shirtless 😉 haha
TIP!
For adding the elastic, I personally like to use the traditional way to add fold over elastic (FOE). You install it basically like binding. Pin the wrong side of your fabric to the wrong side of your FOE, making sure the raw edge is lining up with the middle of the FOE, stretching to fit. Use a narrow zigzag stitch to tack it down. Fold the elastic over to the right side of the fabric and again, use a narrow zigzag stitch. That’s it! I attached my elastic this way for both of my bra’s shown below.
The perfect pair for this bra is the Greenstyle Super G’s. My favorite workout pants! And an easy hack into shorts! Keep an eye out for a blog post with more details on that. 😉
Thank you to my amazing friend Annie for taking this photos! Giver her a holler if you need pictures in the Phoenix area!
Mama strong! If you sew some up, let me know how it goes! I’d love to see!
Happy sewing!
Cheers!
