Petite Stitchery & Co – Bonfire Basics
My apologies, I’ve been a wee bit slow! Petite Stitchery recently released the Bonfire Basics collection! It’s similar to the Franken Tank except it all for fall! There are so many option for both boys and girls AND you can hack the two patterns together for even MORE options! I can’t wait until we have a little girl because the gathered romper is seriously the cutest.
I love Petite Stitchery & Co’s baby patterns. I feel like their size chart is pretty spot on. Max just hit 15 months and wears size 12m on their chart. He’s a little smaller, so it makes sense. But there are some other pattern companies where he falls under size 6-9m! Crazy! Which is why it is always important to look at actual measurements and not just specific pattern sizes.
I had fun sewing up some cute clothes for Max. I need to make some more! If I can ever stop testing patterns! It’s also a lot harder to find cute boy friendly fabric. Cute girly prints are literally everywhere!
I made a slight adjustment on the snap placket binding. I made it a tiny bit wider and longer and interfaced one section of it. I have issues with Kam snaps, so I’ve been using my metal prong snaps. No issues so far, and he’s wearing the doggie romper today! <3
Fabric used for these is from Raspberry Creek Fabrics and Joann’s!
Anyway, here is Max!
And if you make any of the amazing combinations, send me a link! I’d love to see!
Happy Sewing!
